Namibia Highlights
Red dunes, the Skeleton Coast air and Etosha's waterholes
Sossusvlei · Swakopmund · Etosha
Desert light and salt pans.

Namibia is all space and light: the world's oldest desert, a fog-bound Atlantic coast and one of Africa's great game parks, linked by long, empty roads. A short flight from Victoria Falls lands you in Windhoek, the starting point for our Namibian journeys.
In the south, the red dunes of Sossusvlei rise more than 300 metres above white clay pans. On the coast, the old German town of Swakopmund offers dolphins, seals and the desert meeting the sea. In the north, Etosha's shimmering salt pan draws rhino, elephant and lion to its floodlit waterholes.
Don't miss
Climb Big Daddy or Dune 45 as the first light turns the sand from rust to apricot.
Camel-thorn trees, dead for 900 years, stand black against a white pan and a blue sky.
Dolphin and seal cruises on the lagoon, then a 4×4 drive where the dunes plunge into the Atlantic.
Black rhino, elephant and lion come to drink — some waterholes are floodlit for night viewing.
Dramatic gorge scenery and the hidden story of desert survival.
