Day by day
Itinerary
We meet you at Victoria Falls Airport and transfer you to your riverside lodge on the upper Zambezi to settle in. Late afternoon, board a small sunset boat on the upper Zambezi for hippo, elephant and birdlife as the light fades, with drinks and snacks on board.
A morning walk through the rainforest with a local guide, covering all 16 viewpoints from the Devil's Cataract to Danger Point and the history of Mosi-oa-Tunya. The afternoon is free — add a helicopter flight, visit the craft market or relax at the lodge.
Drive two and a half hours south to Hwange National Park, arriving at your tented camp in time for lunch. After tea, head out on your first game drive as elephant begin moving to the waterholes, returning after dark for dinner around the fire.
Early coffee, then a guided walking safari to read tracks and approach game on foot with a professional guide. After brunch and a siesta, spend the afternoon in the sunken hide or on an extended drive to the open Ngamo plains, known for lion and wild dog.
A last morning game drive, then brunch before the road transfer back to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward flight (we recommend departures after 15:00).
