Itinerary
Airport meet-and-greet and transfer to your riverside lodge on the upper Zambezi. In the late afternoon, a sunset cruise on the Zambezi sets the tone for a week spent on Africa's great rivers.
A guided morning walk through the rainforest to see the Falls from every angle. The afternoon is yours: take a helicopter flight, try the gorge swing or simply watch the river from your deck.
A one-hour road transfer crosses the Kazungula border into Botswana. After lunch at your riverfront lodge in Kasane, take a three-hour afternoon boat safari on the Chobe River, where elephant herds cross between Namibia's flood plains and the park.
A dawn game drive along the Chobe riverfront for lion, buffalo, puku and the rare Chobe bushbuck. Rest through the midday heat, then head back onto the river on the lodge's photographic boat for low-angle sunset shots.
A scenic light-aircraft flight from Kasane takes you over the Linyanti and into the heart of the Delta. Settle into your island tented camp, then take your first mokoro trip through the lily-covered channels at sunset.
Walk across neighbouring islands with your guide in the cool morning, tracking elephant, red lechwe and perhaps lion. Afternoon motorboat excursion to the heronries and a sundowner on a sandbank.
A final early mokoro outing, then brunch before your light-aircraft transfer to Maun for international connections (or back to Kasane for Victoria Falls on request).
